THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA TO BOOST

A CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN

Plastic Fischer logo.png

On a mission to eradicate plastic pollution in our oceans, Plastic Fischer contacted HBLC to help them launch their crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe. Plastic Fischer has conceived a "TrashBoom" system, stopping waste from entering our oceans. To scale their positive impact and keep on with their mission, they need to collect 25 000€.

WHAT WE DID

To convince people to donate you need great storytelling, using Plastic Fischer content we created a video delivering a strong message to generate emotions. Once the video was created, we elaborated a digital strategy and managed their online presence for 6 weeks to help them increase their visibility so they could reach their goals quicker.

RESULTS

Starting with an account that has been inactive for 2months, the reach of Plastic Fischer Instagram profile was around 9k people monthly, having 1593 followers with an engagement rate of 6,2% and an average of 4 monthly website clicks. A thoughtful digital strategy was needed to spread the launch of their crowdfunding campaign, reengage with their community and pique their curiosity to generate their interest as we will rely on their support to share the crowdfunding campaign.

After 6 weeks of social media management, Plastic Fischer Instagram account reached 200K people, the video we edited got more than 15K views and their website clicks organically went from 4 monthly clicks to 900 monthly clicks. At the end of our service, they had raised 11 276€ on their GoFundMe campaign, whether 45% of their goal. By keeping on with the social media strategy, they could get the total funding within another 6 weeks using an organic strategy.
